New images in the gallery Scotland

Old ship wreck on the shore of Loch Linnhe in the background Ben Nevis in the clouds. ISO 100 - 145 mm - f/16 - 1/40 sec.

First start of my new gallery “Scotland”. Scotland is one of our favorite aeras to go when we have our summer holidays. Many times we stayed at Linnhe Lochside Holidays at Loch Eil where we had the possibilities to go to Fort William, GlenFinnan and the coastal areas around Arisaig and Mallaig.

Beautiful skies and reflections Loch Eil. ISO 100 - 145 mm - f/16 - 1/13 sec.

At Loch Eil we saw amazing sceneries with dramatic skies changed by the minute. The light on the mountains in the far distance was spectacular especially during spells of rain. From the reflections of the skies in the water we captured several beautiful abstract images.

Small waterfall in Glen Nevis. ISO 100 - 95 mm - f/22 - 1.3 sec.

Amazing waterfalls in Glen Nevis near Ben Nevis. Capturing the streams of water with a slow shutter speed gave that nice silky look. The challenge was always to balance the rocks with the streams in the image.

Corpach with the canal lock. ISO 100 - 150 mm - f/16 - 1/40 sec.

The village Corpach with the Caledonian canal and the canal lock with ships was an excellent place to eat fish and chips but also to capture reflections in the water of the sail boats and the white houses on the banks of the canal. A little bit further the old ship wreck on the shore of Loch Linnhe was also a beautiful subject to capture, especially in combination with highest mountain Ben Nevis.

Dry stone walls. ISO 100 - 200 mm - f/16 - 1/5 sec.

At GlenFinnan it was possible to capture intimate landscapes with dry stone walls and of course Loch Shiel and the famous railway bridge presented in the Harry Potter movies.

Flowers on the beech at Arisaig. ISO 100 - 17 mm - f/8 - 1/400 sec.

In Arisaig with the rocky shores, lots of flowers on the beeches and a nice view on the island of Rum.

Summery of the first images in this video.

Enjoy this new gallery, to be continued!
